Every salon, barbershop, nail bar, groomer and studio works a little differently. Here is how
NextSlot handles bookings, offers, marketing and your team — each answer shown working, on your side of the
counter and on your client’s phone.
Pricing
Pricing that fits how you work.
Can I charge less on quiet mornings and more at busy times?
Yes. Name your peak and off-peak times once — say, weekday mornings and every evening from five — then give any service a price for each.
Clients see the price on every time before they pick it, so a cheaper Tuesday morning sells itself and your evenings earn what they are worth. If a client moves to a dearer time, they see the new price before they confirm.

Can one service have different prices for different hair lengths?
Yes — or dog sizes, nail lengths, anything that changes the job. Add options to a service, each with its own price and time: Short £45, Medium £55, Long £65.
Clients see “from £45” and choose their option in one tap. Not sure what to charge for extra long? Leave the price blank and it shows as “Contact us” — on your menu, but booked through you.
Blank = ‘Contact us for price’ (shown, but not bookable online).

Can I charge more when my salon director does the cut?
Yes. Give each level in your team its own price — Stylist, Senior Stylist, Salon Director, whatever you call them — and NextSlot charges the right one automatically.
Clients see the whole ladder before they choose, so there are no surprises at the till: “from £52” on the menu, then the exact price the moment they pick who they want. Leave a level blank and it simply charges your normal price.

Can I run a sale with the old price crossed out?
Yes. Pick the services, choose a percentage off, an amount off or a new price, and set the dates. Your booking page shows the old price struck through, a “Save 25%” badge and the date the offer ends — and so do your website and profile page.
The sale starts and stops by itself on the dates you chose. A client never gets a sale and a promo code stacked: they automatically get the better of the two.
Can my senior stylist take less time than a junior for the same service?
Yes. Next to each level’s price there is a time box. Your director does a cut in 45 minutes, your junior needs an hour — and the diary books each of them for exactly that long.
Clients see “from 45 min” until they pick someone, then that person’s real free times. No more dead gaps in your best people’s day.
Can clients add extras, like nail art or a hand massage?
Yes. Create add-ons once and attach them to the services they go with. Mark each one as complimentary — shown as “Free”, so clients feel looked after — or as a paid upgrade with its own price and time.
Clients tick them right under the service they chose, and the total and the appointment length update on the spot.

Can a client book more than one service in the same visit?
Yes. Tick “Customers can add this on top of any other service” and a brow shape can become a brow shape, tint and lash lift in one booking.
It is one appointment with one team member, with the times and prices added up for the client before they confirm. Bigger baskets, fewer back-and-forth messages.

Your diary, your rules.
Can I choose which team members do which services?
Yes. Tick the services each person offers on their profile. Clients only see the people who can do what they picked — or they tap “Don’t Mind” and get the first free time with anyone.
A service nobody offers at the moment quietly drops off the booking page.
Yes. Add a buffer before or after any service — 5, 10, 15, 20 or 30 minutes — for setting up, cleaning down or sterilising tools.
Clients never see it and cannot book into it. You see it shaded on your calendar. No more running late all afternoon because every booking was back to back.
Yes. Take a fixed deposit, a percentage or the full price when the client books, paid straight into your own Stripe account. NextSlot takes 0% commission on it.
Tell us the rule for each service and we switch it on with you. The booking is only confirmed once the payment goes through.

Can I charge clients who don’t turn up?
Yes. Tell us the fee and the cut-off for each service and we switch it on with you. Clients then save a card when they book. Nothing is charged up front, and they are told the fee in plain words — for example, £15 if they cancel within 24 hours or don’t show.
If they don’t turn up, one button on the booking marks the no-show and charges the fee. Most people simply turn up.
We’ll securely save a card — you won’t be charged now. A £15 fee applies if you cancel within 24h of your appointment or don’t show up.

Can I make sure a client has had a patch test first?
Yes. Mark a colour, tint or lash service as needing a patch test. A client with no valid test on file is asked to book a free patch test at least 48 hours before, right there on the booking page.
You choose how long a test stays valid, and clients are reminded before theirs runs out. Your team always sees a warning too.

Groups and classes
Groups, classes and regulars.
Can I book a regular in every month, all in one go?
Yes. When you book a regular from your calendar, set it to repeat weekly, fortnightly or monthly — up to 52 times — and the whole run lands in the diary at once.
Each one is marked as part of a series. If plans change, cancel just that one or everything still to come.
Yes. A client can bring up to two guests, one after another or at the same time.
For bigger parties — hen dos, prom groups, birthday treats — switch on group bookings for up to 10 people and NextSlot seats them in waves across your team. You set the largest group you take, and bigger groups can pay a deposit to hold their places.
We’ll seat you in waves across our team, so the whole party is done together.

Can I run classes with a limited number of spaces?
Yes. Clients see how many spaces are left on every session, and when a class is full they can join the waitlist.
When someone drops out, the next person on the list is offered the space straight away: free classes book them in, and paid classes give them an hour to claim it and pay. We set your classes up with you when you join.
Yes, automatically. An email goes 12 hours before and a text 2 hours before, on whichever the client chose when they booked. Texts only go out between 9am and 8pm, so nobody is woken up.
Every booking confirmation also carries “Add to calendar” and “Get directions” buttons. Texts come out of your plan’s monthly allowance.

Can clients move or cancel their own booking?
Yes. Every confirmation carries a link to manage the booking. Clients pick a new time from your real free times, or cancel, without a single phone call.
If they are inside your cancellation window, they are warned about the fee before they go ahead.

Codes and vouchers that fill the diary.
Can I give out discount codes — a percentage or an amount off?
Yes. Create a code like SPRING20 and choose a percentage off or a fixed amount off. Add a minimum spend if you like, and limit it to certain services or branches.
Clients type the code when they book and see the saving straight away. The same code works at the till too.

Can I sell gift vouchers online?
Yes. Clients buy a voucher from your page — £30, £50, £75, £100 or an amount they choose — and it is emailed with its code, to them or straight to the lucky person, with a message.
The voucher is spent in the same code box when they book, or at the till. Anything left stays on the card for next time.
Yes. Tie a code to the days and times you want to fill — say Tuesday to Thursday, before 3pm — and leave your busy Saturdays at full price.
When a client arrives through the code’s link, the days and times that qualify are marked on the booking page, so they pick a quiet slot without being asked. Pick a busy time and they are told the code doesn’t apply to it.
Leave everything open for a blanket discount, or narrow it to fill quiet slots.

Can I run a limited-time offer, or one for the first 20 clients?
Yes. Give a code a start date and an end date, a total number of uses, or both. Your list shows how many have been claimed — “18 / 20 redeemed” — and the code closes itself when the offer ends or runs out.
A client who tries it too late is told plainly: “This offer has been fully claimed.”
Wherever you put them. Tick “Feature on the home page” and the offer appears on your profile page and your website, with a button that applies the code for them.
Every code also has a share link. Paste it into Instagram, WhatsApp or an email campaign, and the discount is already applied when the client lands on your booking page. Codes you don’t feature stay private.
Yes. Create a code for each — STUDENT15 or OVER60, say — and limit it to the days and times that suit you. Make it desk-only if you don’t want it working from shared links.
Clients use it when they book, and you check their card at the visit. NextSlot doesn’t check anyone’s ID for you.
Yes — and that’s often the point. A client can forward the code or its link, and their friend books with the discount applied.
Your limits still hold: the end date, the total uses and the once-per-client rule. For a proper thank-you to the client who sent them, switch on Refer a friend.

Loyalty and referrals
Loyalty, referrals and regulars.
Can I run a loyalty scheme?
Yes. Give points for every visit, for every pound spent, or both — plus a welcome bonus and a birthday bonus. Set rewards like £5 off, 10% off or a free service, and add tiers with their own perks.
Clients see “You’ll earn 45 points” as they book, and their balance, tier and rewards on their account. They claim their rewards at the desk when they visit.
Ready to claim£5 off — Mention these when you next visit and we’ll take it off your bill.

Can clients earn rewards for sending me their friends?
Yes. Switch on Refer a friend and every client gets their own code and link. Their friend gets money off their first visit — £5 by default — and the client earns points when the friend actually turns up, never just for booking.
Clients find their code on their account, and from their second booking on it is in their booking confirmation too. A friend who has visited before can’t use one.
Your friend gets £5 off their first visit. You earn 50 points when they come in.

Can I send marketing emails and texts to my clients?
Yes. Pick what it’s about, choose who gets it — everyone, people who haven’t been in for eight weeks, people who had a colour, big spenders — write it, check it and send it now or later.
Only clients who said yes receive it, and every message has a one-click unsubscribe. Afterwards you see how many were sent, clicked and booked. Texts come out of your plan’s monthly allowance.
Yes. Four automatic messages do the remembering for you: “We miss you” for clients who have drifted away, “Happy birthday”, a “Thank you” after a visit, and a request for a review.
Switch on the ones you want and they send themselves, to clients who agreed to hear from you.

Can I put a notice across my website and profile page?
Yes. Write one message — “Closed 25–26 December, back on the 27th” — choose its colour and the dates it shows, and it appears across the top of your website, your profile page and your booking page. It takes itself down when the dates end.
Closed dates carry their own note too, so a client who picks Christmas Day sees why it isn’t available.

Do I get a page I can use as my link in bio?
Yes, on every plan. Your profile page at yourname.nextslot.works shows your services and prices, your next free slot, reviews, your team, your photos, your opening hours and a map — with a Book button always in reach.
It is built from what you already set up in NextSlot, so it is ready the day you join and stays up to date by itself.
Can clients book straight from Instagram and Facebook?
Yes. Put your booking link in your Instagram bio and on your Stories, and add a Book Now button to your Facebook Page pointing at it — our Help Centre shows you how, step by step.
Instagram’s own built-in Book button is only open to Meta’s partners, so your bio link does that job.

Can I sell products at the till?
Yes. Add your retail products with prices and barcodes, then sell them at the till by searching or scanning — on their own or alongside the appointment.
Promo codes can cover products, and staff can earn commission on what they sell. Products are sold in person, not through the booking page.
Yes. Every sale, delivery and bottle used on a client is counted, so stock levels are always right. Set a low-stock level for each product and NextSlot flags it.
Each morning you get an email of what is running low, with a button to draft the order to your supplier. Stock takes with a scanner show you exactly what has gone missing.

Chair rental
Chair rental, sums done for you.
Can I rent out a chair and have the rent worked out for me?
Yes. Set up an agreement for each renter: a weekly or monthly rent, a day rate, a percentage share, or a mix. Say whose clients are whose and who holds the card-machine money.
NextSlot keeps the running statement. You check it, approve it, and a numbered invoice is emailed to your renter. It keeps the sums; the money itself moves between you as it always has.
Their own login, with a “My chair” page: their statements, every line on them, what you owe each other, their agreement and their own client list. Renters on a day rate book their chair days there too.
They can change only their own appointments, and they never see your figures or other renters’.
Pick the days you want the chair. Billed weekly at £40 a day.

Your team
Your team and their calendars.
Can I control what my staff can see and do?
Yes. Everyone signs in as themselves. Managers run their own branch; staff work the calendar and the till, and you tick extra powers for each person — bookings, team, promotions, services.
Refunds, cancellations and no-show fees need booking powers. Reports stay with managers, and settings and payments stay with you. Staff without an email address can sign in with a username instead.
Can my team see their bookings in Google Calendar?
Yes, both ways. Each person’s bookings appear in their own Google Calendar, and anything already in their calendar — the school run, the dentist — blocks those times on your booking page, usually within 15 minutes.
Each member of staff connects their own calendar, and client phone numbers are never copied into it.
Your page, Instagram and Facebook.
Do I get a page I can use as my link in bio?
